Join the beta
Orbitus is in beta and coming soon to the App Store and Google Play.
iPhone: install TestFlight from the App Store, then open the beta link on your iPhone, tap Accept, then Install. If the page says the beta is full, email support@orbitus.se and we'll let you know when a spot opens.
Android: the Android beta runs on Google Play, which only lets Google accounts on our tester list install it. Tap “Join the Android beta” on the home page, or email us, with the Google account you're signed in with on your phone's Play Store. Once you're on the list we'll reply with a link: open it on your phone, tap “Become a tester”, then install from Google Play.
In the TestFlight version, take a screenshot in the app to send us feedback directly. A sentence about what happened helps a lot. Feedback includes device details collected by Apple — see the Privacy Policy.
Account and sign-in
I didn't get a verification code
When you sign up, we email you an 8-digit code that is valid for 1 hour. Check your spam folder first; if it's not there, tap resend in the app. University mailboxes sometimes block outside senders, so trying another address can help.
I forgot my password
The app doesn't have password recovery yet. Email us from the address you signed up with and we'll help you get back in. If the same address also works with Google or Apple sign-in, try that first.
Changing your email address
Go to Me → Settings → Account & security. We send a link to the new address, and the change takes effect once you open it. Until then, keep signing in with your old address.
I used Sign in with Apple and hid my email
We receive an Apple relay address, and Apple forwards our emails to you. When you write to us, include your Orbit ID so we can find your account.
Privacy and visibility
In Me → Settings → Privacy you can hide your age, school or region; show your full profile only to yourself; turn off Match; choose who can find you by Orbit ID; and manage blocked users. More in our Privacy Policy.
Safety
- Report: tap Report on a profile, post or message. A person reviews every report, and the other person won't know who reported them.
- Block: once blocked, someone can't match with you, message you privately or add you as a friend. You can unblock them in Settings.
- Restricted? The app shows the reason and when it ends. You can appeal right in the app, and a person reviews every appeal.
- Emergencies: if you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number now (112 in the EU), then contact us.
For tips on avoiding scams, meeting teammates in person and academic integrity, see our Community Guidelines & Safety Tips.
Delete your account
- Go to Me → Settings → Account & security → Delete account and confirm.
- You're signed out on every device straight away, and your profile is hidden.
- Changed your mind? Sign in within 7 days and tap Keep my account.
- After 7 days, your profile, settings, photos and sign-in account (including your email address) are erased. Messages you sent in groups stay in the other members' conversations, shown as from an unnamed user.
If you can't use the app, email privacy@orbitus.se from the address you signed up with and we'll delete the account for you. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Data requests
To get a copy of your data, or to correct, delete or restrict how we use it, email privacy@orbitus.se from the address on your account. We reply within one month, free of charge.
Report illegal content
You don't need an account to report illegal content on Orbitus: email support@orbitus.se with where it is, why it's illegal and how to reach you. See our Terms of Use for what to include. If someone shared an intimate image of you without consent, we remove it within 48 hours of a valid request.
